BL Quality Meats at 720 S Demaree in Visalia, was built and opened by Leonard Whitney, who had been in the grocery business in our area since 1947, in April of 2012.

The vision for this meat market was to have the best quality   and selection, such as USDA Choice and Prime Beef, and fresh Seafood, at a reasonable price along with the highest level of customer service, while providing a unique and pleasant environment that would make the shopping experience fun as well as rewarding.

His vision also included a “BBQ Kitchen” that would serve freshly prepared meats from our huge smoker and side dishes,   ready to eat on our patio or take home

To this end we continue to dedicate ourselves to maintaining the highest standards of products and service, as well as expanding our selection of wines, cheeses, seasonings, sauces, marinades, salads and other unique specialty items to compliment our meats.
